I purchased my first foreclosure at the past auction in Collin County. I have yet to recieve anything regarding this purchase, other than what was given to me that day. How long does it normally take to receive papers, and the balance of the money? Thanks.

Clint,

Most lawfirms take approximately 2-3 weeks to produce the deed and cut a company check for the balance of your courthouse bid. Who was the trustee you purchased from. It is typical for the lawfirm to drag their feet and they are really not motivated to move any faster that needed. What I would do is call everyday, become a thorn in their side. I have never understood why it takes 2-3 weeks to draw up a simple Trustee's Deed (would take you 5 minutes if you have a computer and printer) and cut a check.

It was one of Cathy Lee's. I havent been able to find a contact number for her or I would give them a call. Thanks for all the help.

Clint,

Fax me the receipt from the auction at 214-593-0075. I will then research and get you a number to call. We'll get the ball rolling!

Client,

"They" never cease to surprise me! I'm curious, are you going to fix & sell or preparing to hold the property?
